The premise of this book drew me right in. I mean who wouldn’t want to read about aliens, a secret mission to save Earth, and a hero without a memory.Synopsis (from the author): What do two alien races, planet Earth, memory lost, secret organizations, angels, magic, demons, space flight, spirits and the hope of all mankind have in common?

What I liked: D’ae or Kirk, depending on who he is at any moment, was an interesting character. Part angel, part mystery, he wanders through Earth trying to escape the Earth authorities that want to capture him. His adventures and interactions with the humans were entertaining and inspiring. Even his attempt to rescue the women captured for the aliens was a selfless act. The story itself was an interesting mix of sci-fi, fantasy, and thriller and kept me interested until the end.
What I didn’t like: The story had multiple POVs, which made it a bit difficult to follow at times. I also thought it could have used some additional editing and the writing could have been tighter.
Overall impression: The Wanderer: Book One of the Godsend Series: Section One was an entertaining read. I liked the characters, the storyline, and the action of the book. I think it needs some additional editing and it would be an excellent read.
My rating: 4 Stars

The Wanderer Book One of the Godsend Series Section One eBook Timothious Smith Patricia Copperhead Reviews
Interesting read full of ingenuity. Although a bit confusing at times I really did enjoy this book.Kirk Alexander Doyle is not who he seems to be. Some say angel, some say he is wanted and the name is Da'e, but all say he is the wanderer. Whatever he really may have to wait for the next installment of this book. You will find bad guys, good guys and plenty of danger as Da'e is on the run trying to help others before he is captured.
The Wanderer is a fast-paced, sci-fi, with a dash of fantasy and thriller. However don't expect this story to be set in space, most of this story is set on Earth and follows Kirk Alexander Doyle, also known as Da'e or The Wanderer. There are multiple POV's and the chapters jump between the good and the bad guys.
Kirk has strange powers and gifts, and is being hunted down by a number of different groups, some of them are definitely not human. Some want Kirk dead, others call him an angel. I believe the story is loosely based on the second coming of Christ, albeit in an sci-fi/extraterrestrial kind of way. I think this is a self published book so there are some errors which could be sorted with an editor, but the concept of this story is brilliant and was enough to keep me hooked. Some of the terminology was a little bit confusing, but there is a helpful glossary of terms at the back of the book.
All in all The Wanderer is an entertaining read, and although perhaps not as impressive, it reminded me of films such as 'The Book of Eli' and 'Constantine'. It also reminded me of the book 'American Gods by Neil Gaiman'. This is just the first book in the series and ends on a cliffhanger, so you will be left with unanswered questions at the end. Although The Wanderer could do with a bit of a tidy up, it was a very interesting and unique read, I wonder where Mr Smith is going to take the story in the next book.
This book does not follow the story line. It is a waste of time. I did not like it at all
The sentence structure is way too clunky for a good reading experience and the constant hyperlinks, which are meant to define the newly introduced terms, should have been omitted; generally, an author tells the reader or shows the reader what those terms mean through context, not a dictionary at the end of the book. I'll pass.
Absolutely no editing! The characters of the protagonist wasn't developed. Could be a goof plot. I won't chance it again.
